The revised curriculum (Scheme of Studies) for 10+ 2 stage in Science, Arts
Commerce streams. (Effective from 2006-2007 Academic session)

A) CORE SUBJECTS:

1. A candidate of the H.S. programme of the Council shall have to offer subjects as specified here under:
i ) English - 200 Marks (with two papers of 100 marks each -100 marks each in the H.S. First Year Exam. and 100 marks in the H.S. Final Exam.)

ii) Modem Indian Language-200 Marks (with two papers of 100 marks each-100 Marks each in the H.S. First Year Exam. and 100 marks in the H.S. Final Exam.)

Note :- A student may offer Alternative English in lieu of the M.I.L. (Alternative English is not taught in the College as the subject has not be introduced so far.)

B) ELECTIVE SUBJECTS:-

i) Three elective subjects from a stream listed below: each subject of 200 marks(100 marks in the H.S. First Year Examination and 100 marks in the H.S. Year Exam.

ii) In addition to the three elective subjects a candidate may have the option to offer a fourth elective subject of 200 marks belonging to the same stream(100 marks in the H.S. First Year Examination and 100 marks in the H.S Examination. )

List of Elective Subjects (Science Stream) :
1. Chemistry.
2. Physics.
3. Mathematics.
4. Biology.
5. Statistics.
6. Economics ..

List of Elective Subjects (Arts Stream) :
1. Economics.
2. History.
3. Political Science.
4. Education.
5. Statistics.
6. Mathematics.
7. One of following Advanced Languages:
a) Advance Assamese.
b) Advance Bengali.
c) Advance Hindi.
d) Advance Manipuri.

List of elective subjects (Commerce Stream) :
1. Compulsory Subject -
i) Business Studies.
ii) Accountancy.
Optional Electives -
(Only one subject from the following group)
iii) Economics, Mathematics.
(Only one subject from the following group)
iv) Commercial Arithmetic and Eleme1ts of Statistics, Mathematics, Statistics.

Note:
i) It is desirable that students intending to offer Physics/Chemistry as elective subjects should offer Mathematics also as one of the elective subjects.
ii) Syllabi for Statistics, Economics and Mathematics are common to Arts, Science and Commerce Streams.
